4 tips to start your year as an artist
Happy New Year my little demons!
This week, I am learning how to fully rest so this Missive is a bit different and lighter than usual.
✅ BUT DON’T WORRY… I will be back on track soon and you’ll get your Missive loaded with my personal tips from next Monday.
This week, I wanted to talk about the fact that the new year period can be either exciting or stressful for artists.
So here are some tips to help you start the year with more confidence:
👉 TIP 1 : it’s ok to rest ! Don’t force yourself to go fast. As for me, I always feel pressured to start a new year fast and big. But being an artist is a marathon not a sprint. That is why, I’m starting 2023 with a week off!
👉 TIP 2 : prepare your 90-day plan to start the year with efficiency and confidence ! As an artist, you must have some specific goals to reach. The best way to do this is to plan your success. Take a pencil and a paper and have a look at last Monday Missive where I help you get organised and achieve your art goals in 3 months.
👉 TIP 3 : acknowledge how you feel without judgement. Some of us can feel quite excited about the coming year. But some of us can be quite anxious, doubting and worried. And it’s ok either way! Feeling down does not make you a coward and you will not fail your goals because of it. Be gentle with yourself, surrender to these emotions and take time for yourself!
👉 TIP 4 : earn the right mindset. According to me, artists' success mainly depends on their mindset. However having the right state of mind is not something you naturally have. So I would suggest you do your own research on the power of getting an entrepreneur mindset and be more productive. I’m sure seeing videos, reading articles and practicing about the mindset is going to give you more confidence and give you more tools to reach your goals.
