Dear little demon,
Welcome to the edition #61 of The Art Missive. We are now 11,952 😈 in this newsletter! Whether you've been here from the start or just arrived, thank you so much for reading ❤.
1/ Intro
"Léa, I just joined the tribe. Where can I find the previous editions of the missive?"
Well, up until now, I've only posted the last 25 editions on my blog. But with the recent surge in our tribe's growth and the influx of new members, you've practically been begging me to access all the editions.
My dear little demons, your wish is my command.
So, I spent the weekend uploading all the missives that have been published since the inception of this newsletter. And let me tell you, it fills me with pride!
It's quite amusing to see how far we've come together since the very first missive.
From the slightly awkward phrasing in the beginning to my shy face hidden behind over-the-top filters... But what hasn't changed is my desire to bring you as much value as possible, which you can feel from the very first missive.
It's also about creating a tribe where you know you belong. And that makes me proud.
Now that I've uploaded all the archives, all you have to do is dig through these missives to find a precious ally in your artistic journey.
And to help you out, here's a little guide:
2/ Artist mindset and productivity.
You know me, my greatest strength (or perhaps my worst flaw) is my obsession with strategy and planning. And if there's one thing I've talked about in this newsletter, it's how artists can organize themselves to create more and better:
TAM07 ⚠️ This 1 thing changed my artist life : build a winner mindset
TAM37 💪 Back-to-school artist resolutions, or keep making art on a busy schedule
TAM46 1️⃣ THE ONE artist thing to do before 2024, or how to reach your art goals this year
3/ Drawing tips.
At your request, I've also given advice to improve your drawing practice:

We even had a one-week portrait training, where I sent you daily video tutorials and PDF exercises on how to draw the head in all positions! It was important to me that community events were only accessible at the time of the event and to those who participated!
4/ Art block.
Art block is probably the number one topic you requested. Between the pressure of social media, the solitude of the artist, and our desire to do well, we creatives quickly face this blockage.
TAM19 💪 secrets to stay motivated as an artist, keep creating even when you want to give up
TAM26 😭 I forgot how to draw: overcome these "I forgot how to draw" moments
TAM36 🖍️ 4 ways to overcome art block, or how to get back into drawing

5/ My journey.
It's crazy! When we first met, I was still drawing on the floor of my bedroom. And you've followed me on my journey until I became a full-time artist.
Now, I'm trying to create more missives about my artist adventures because I've noticed that's what you prefer! Maybe because they inspire you and show you that we're in the same boat?
Here are a few missives on this topic:

7/ QaA and tribe events.
Over the past 18 months, our vibrant tribe has grown and evolved in ways I never could have imagined. Together, we've created a supportive community where artists can connect, learn, and inspire one another.
One of the ways we've fostered this sense of community is through our Q&A sessions. These interactive events have given me the opportunity to answer your burning questions on a wide range of topics, from finding your artistic style to choosing the right materials for your projects. I've loved hearing your insights and experiences, and I hope these sessions have provided valuable guidance and support as you navigate your own creative journeys.
In addition to our Q&A sessions, we've also had some incredible community events that have brought us closer together. One of my favorites was the 1-week portrait training, where we spent a week diving deep into the art of portraiture. This event was exclusively available to those who participated, and I was blown away by the dedication and progress I saw from each and every one of you.
But the community events don't stop there. We've also had two "Evening by the Fire" events edition 1, edition 2, where you shared your personal stories and experiences as artists. I was so moved by the vulnerability and authenticity that each of you brought to these events.
These community events have been some of the highlights of my journey as an artist and a leader of this tribe. They've shown me the importance of creating spaces where we can come together, share our stories, and support one another in our creative endeavors. I can't wait to see what other events and initiatives we'll create together in the future.
8/ Conclusion.
Here, this is just a sample, but you can now find all the archives by clicking here.
In 18 months, we've passed 60 editions and 10,000 members, isn't that crazy?
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for all the support you've given me: whether you've been here from the beginning or just arrived, you've followed me on this crazy journey. Thank you 🙏.
The Art Missive has evolved a lot, from a "tips and tricks" format to a real relationship between you and me, where I share everything from my bursts of courage to my most vulnerable moments (even if I'm not good at being vulnerable).
In the future, I'd also like to create more missives about my creative process. I feel that I'm now ready to reveal the behind-the-scenes of my works and the story of my characters, hoping to empower you to free yourself and to create even more!
Voilà, that's all from me, see you next week! 😈
